The Two are 2

R: Big news! We're 2! Yay! It's hard to believe things have gone so fast. Just two years ago we were little 3 pounders in the NICU and now here we are.... happy, healthy and funny little people. And we have a baby sister too, who would have ever thought our family would grow so quickly? Anyway, we've been partying for our birthday and spending time with family as the Christmas season has begun. If we haven't seen you yet, we'll probably see you soon.
A private cake tasting at our private party on our actual birthday.
R: So these presents don't go under the tree?
E: Roman, clean up this birthday mess. Chop, chop.
Grandpa Wolters gives Roman his first introduction to VW.
Our birthday party at home.
E: Can we eat this yet or what?
E: Now we can leave our own dishes and utensils around the living room floor.
R: Our party ended with a naked diaper dance featuring Eden and cousin Carter.
A: I'm a wild woman!
We took a family trip to the Children's Museum......
R: How, white Mama. Me strikum' drum.
E: We need one of these at home.
R: Look, there's Mama with the camera.
A: I always wanted a twin too, but this is ridiculous.
E: Call it in the air.... Heads.
R: Wait, who's that right there?
E:And on your right you'll see something important enough to capture both of our attentions.
R: Bless you Daddy.
A: I got to ride all around at the museum.
Fortunately the ride was hosted by my favorite person.
E: Ok, now Roman you distract Mama while I get Daddy to change my diaper. While they're both gone, Addy, you go to the cupboard and get the candy.
A: Better hurry, I think they're on to us.
R: Red rover, red rover, let Daddy come over.

A: You're wondering if I'm cold. Seriously, do you think that's possible?
E: Our first dash in the snow this year. Daddy does his annual modeling of his Carharts.
E: Fast forward to our high school graduation party, this picture will still be cute.
R: Ahh! Look out, it's Addzilla, the destroyer of everything.
R: We need more reindeer.
E: Our friends the Silverman twins came over with their nanny for a playdate. Our Nanny, Livia, helped us with the paints. We didn't want to get our clothes dirty so......
A: Thbbbttt!
R: Behold, our wonderous tree. Lights on!

E: I'm an angel, but I don't fit on the tree.

A: Yeah, so I made a mess. Again. But, how could you stay mad at me?

Lions and Ladybugs and Baptisms, Oh My!

R: I'm looking for some courage.

E: Make a wish.

A: Am I a butterfly or Marvin the Martian?

In the end, we had a great time for our first Halloween together. We had lots of other things happen to the family this month too. I am rolling, sitting, crawling and more. AND, I got baptized. It was a busy month for me. Roman is talking a lot and repeating everything. He can count to 10 and say lots of letters and their sounds. Eden talks quite a bit too and she can jump off the ground. A monumental feat of the feet.

R: The guy in the middle is dressed as an engineer.

E: Daddy is smiling because he doesn't have to wear a costume.

A: Butterflies are drawn to Mama like moths are to light.

The rabid pack of wolves prepares to devour its prey - fruit snacks.

A: I can sit up, but here I'm sitting down.

I am crawling too.

Our family on display during Addy's baptism. Roman and Eden spent the second half with Grandpa and Grandma in the audience.

A: Lots of folks were in attendance just for me!

A: This guy kept putting water on my head.

A: Then, Daddy sang a song for me.

The afterparty with lots of friends and family. Mmm, Subway.

A: Thank goodness for the last nice day of the year which gave people the option to go outside - 70 degrees! Note Daddy's latest creation - the padded deflection wall on the slide which is effective at least 32% of the time. Patent pending!

Roman is auditioning for the new Devo video. Whip it good.

Our Saturday at the mall......

Enjoying the chaos of the play area.
E: Mama can handle all three kids.

R: Wake up daddy, I'm coming down the slide.

E: Hurry, the plastic tree tunnel is collapsing!

A gourmet lunch in the food court; Addy, clearly interested in her lunch.

R: Mama and Daddy had exquisite French cuisine: LeTacoBell.
Eden was happy to destroy her PBJ, but like me, insisted on having a fork to eat. Sophistication is heavy burden to bear.

R: Off to the races.

E: Hi-ho silver! Away. Daddy is Tonto.

A: Mama and I enjoyed ourselves on the sidelines.

Chilling with G and G Wolters.

R: I enjoy the fine art of yelling. Ahhhhhh!

A: I like my Elivs outfit. Thank you, thank you very much.

E: No, I AM a baby. Go away.

The whole lineup of Smith grandkids assembled to celebrate Grandma's birthday.
