And then there were Three

Dramatic Pause.......
Yup.
Yes, we're serious. No, we're not crazy. We've been blessed with another child and another life challenge. Smith offspring number three is on the way, due to arrive in early April. We are all very excited. They tell us there's only one, and we're hopeful that they're right. Baby gender is still unknown, and may remain so - that is still undecided. Mama belly pics will return soon. For you non-math majors, Roman and Eden will be about 16 months when the baby is due. They should be more than self-sufficient by then, so we're not too worried.

R: The rest of our summer went really well, even though we had new surprises to mull over. We spent more time at the cottage, at Silver Lake and in St. Clair. We are now over 9 months, over 20 lbs, rolling, trying to crawl, and talking endlessly. Both of us are very good at hard consonants, like Ds and Ts, and are ever-so-close to saying Daddy. One person in particular is happy about that. Plus, we got these jumper things and we just love them.

E: Our inaugural dip in Grandma McCartney's pool in St. Clair. Goofy hats mandatory.

E: Mama and I swam for a long time. If I hold my mouth like this, my face won't get wet.

R: I jumped all the way up here to dunk. I would have been much easier if I didn't have to drag Daddy up here with me. He is heavy.

Our first trip to the park was a huge success. Swings!

R: Look at me, I'm the drummer from Def Leppard!

E: I must lean forward at all times. You call that a push? Fling me skyward!

Grandpa Wolters holds the three newest grandchildren. Roman and Eden think Carter is a bongo drum and prepare to treat his head accordingly. Poor Carter stews in anger, knowing someday he will be bigger then them, and on that day, he will have his vengence.

More swinging, this time at Silver Lake at Grandpa Wolters place. Life is good.

E: Mama bought me a sweatshirt. Therefore, I am wearing it, regardless of temperature.

Roman's latest trick is giving kisses. Big wet ones. Mama doesn't mind.

Caution: Nudity Ahead.

R: We've graduated to the big tub. Eden is too busy concentrating on bare-handed trout fishing to look at the camera. By the way, this duck tastes fantastic.

A glimpse of things to come. Carter suffers another Smith twin sandwhich as we and Uncle Jeff and Aunt Katie all trekked to St. Clair together. I'm reading the tea leaves and I see minivans in our future.
