One Drip, Two Drip, Bless Drip, You Drip

Roman and Eden were baptized on Sunday, April 23, 2006 at River Rock church, in Rockford, Michigan. Thanks to the many friends and family who came to witness their special day. Both kids were happy to be the center of attention, Eden was so excited, she 'baptized' her dress with spit-up milk before the service even began. The twins are now 5 months old and in the 15 and 14 pound ranges.
The night of the baptism, we had our inaugural rice cereal feeding, with consistent results. Roman got spit on, Eden got spit on, Mommy got spit on, Daddy got spit on and the bibs absorbed 97 percent of the offered cereal. But we're all learning. Eden is getting much stronger, finally all the hours of Tae-Bo are paying off. She is also getting much more responsive, with lots of talking, smiling, laughing and gurgling. Here she is dancing with Mommy after just returning from a luau. Thanks too to everyone for all the generous baptism gifts. Unfortunately, Roman blew it all at the casino already. "C'mon big money. My daddy needs a new pair of sea-doos." Roman: "So we're at the store and I wanted the matching black ninja outfits, but clearly Mommy's opinion was deemed more important. I'm going to get in at least 3 middle school fights over this picture. Minimum."

"As mentioned above, we're starting to smile and laugh a lot these days. But, we've secretly plotted together to stop smiling the instant we see a camera or the video camera. The sole purpose of this endeavor is to make Daddy get irritated. He takes about 20 pictures to get one good one of each of us. We also get up at night and drain the batteries on the camera so he misses cute things because of the low battery. We finally let him get a couple of winners, just to keep him sane."

"Pull up the tag.... and.... right.... there. A carefully placed washcloth and voila, a tasteful nude shot which won't be a problem when I'm running for public office."

"Hey, hey folks. Welcome to the Roman bath. Get it, Roman bath? I'm here all week. Try the veal. Don't forget to tip your waitress."

Thank you guys for keeping eveyone up to date. I love to check in on the little ones. I'm glad everyone survived the weekend of the baptisim. It went well. The babies held it together great. I'm just glad that with everyone there I still got to hold them. I can't wait to see them again in person. Aunt Jen, Uncle Matt, and Aidan send our love.
