R: "Ah, what a wonderful day. I love to just close my eyes and take in the summer air. Now if I could just find a girl that's not my sister to hold hands with."Roman and Eden are closing in on 7 months. Lots of talking, smiling, laughing and rolling over fill our days. They finally made it up to the cottage over Memorial Day and several weekends after. They love it outside.
"Daddy said we needed to take our inaugural dip into the lake. It's tradition, you've got to go in on Memorial Day weekend, regardless of the temperature. Luckily, it wasn't too cold this year. Even so, cold water builds character. Evidently, though, it doesn't put hair on your chest. Right, daddy?"
The arrival of summer has also ushered in the arrival of solid foods. We have an assortment of beans, peas, sweet potatoes and squash. What a wonderous bounty!
Roman can hardly contain his excitement for the new foods.
"Well, let me tell you. It was a long, arduous battle, with heavy casualties. We lost three bibs, stained a onesie, and I'm pretty sure my eyebrow will never be quite the same."

The young (at heart) and the restless. Great Grandpa Smith enjoys some time with Eden on the swing at the cottage.
"See, when I smile like this, my face makes a perfect circle."
"Ok, dad, mommy isn't looking. Throw another grape into my mouth."

Reading books is a new addition to the bedtime ritual. "Let's go daddy, turn the page already, it's not like we don't know how the story ends."
Growth check: We use Bear and Bunny as a benchmark for our photo log and a growth indicator.
Flashback to when we were about a month old. Here is our first photo with Bear and Bunny.

Here we are at six months with the same bear and bunny. Notice any differences?
We like milk.

I can not believe how they have grown! I have forgotten how small they were. They are getting more adorable with each passing day. I love to look at the new pictures. Aunt Debe' was right Ross you should write for a colum of some sorts. Your "blogs" are quite humorous. We miss you all very much. Every time we go to Grandma and Grandpa's Aidan points at the twins' new picture and says "Roman and Eden". Hopefully we'll see you all again before summer is out.
