Milestone Month

E: Summer is here in full force and we're taking full advantage. Summer means being outside and lots of family, friends and fun. And recently, it has been a season full of milestones. In the few months since the last blog we've accomplished the following: Roman and I got rid of our cribs and got new big boy/girl beds. Mama potty trained us in 3 days. Yup. 3 days. Addison learned to walk. We took our first full family boat ride. We saw Aunt Stefan's new baby. We rode on jetskis, tubes, horses, jeeps, tractors, swings, daddy and in single, double and triple strollers. And we rode in our van... a lot. We've done a bunch and it's only mid-June. If you haven't seen us recently, chances are, our summer tour will visit your town soon.

Diaper count just went down 66.6%. Cute undies count went up 200%.
R:We can only hold it in if we smile as hard as possible.
Lots of special time with all of our Gs....
A: Grandpa Smith fell asleep again.
A: I can walk in water, but not on it, so Grandma Smith holds my hand.
Grandma Wolters and two of her girls.
E: Grandpa Wolters and cousin Carter gave me a ride in the Jeep.
Grandma McCartney and the Smith trifecta.

R: It's the bittersweet end of an era... so long cribs!

Fun at nanny Livia's house/farm:
E: Pop the clutch, man.
R: Who needs reins? I steer with my mental powers. Giddyup.
A: I am the ruler of the universe. You will yield to the power of my split tooth grin.
Resistance is futile.

R: Baby Ethan fell out of Aunt Stefan's belly. He is cute and little. See blog link at right.
E: Ok, Mama, that's enough. Give back that baby.
The crew of friends met up again for an outing to Frederik Meijer Gardens:
The kids showing off doing the wave with their legs.
R: You see Addy, the boat is displaced by the wave motion propagating through the tank.
Move over Roman, we can't see the horse.
E: Not just ducks Daddy, Rockford ducks.
R: Where's that ice cream we were eating?
A: What? You said to put my Sunday clothes back in the drawer.
R: The water hazards at this course are a little ridiculous.
E: Me ride Jah-key
R: My ride Jat-key
A: Ma ma ma ma ma ma ma ma ma

What rain?

E: Daddy says if I get any prettier, he's sitting here till I'm 30.

A: Mama took us to Discovery Dairy in Ada, MI. Roman learned about cows and fed a calf. Eden disovered that cows are "stanky".

A: Give me some hoof.

A: For some reason, I've got a hankering for some doublemint gum.

R: My suit doesn't match the others. Thank goodness Target didn't have my size.

From the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli.

C'mon girls stretch those legs... and left, 2, 3, 4.

E: Forget walking, I run the catwalk.

Mama and Daddy get to have some fun too.....

R: My "key" too.

A lucky father on Father's Day.

Hope you're having a great summer... we sure are.
